Is there something to be said about zines as a re-democratisation of the printed word? A kind of antidote to stuffy glossy magazines, and built for readers first (rather than advertisers) and writers second.

In that vein, would love to see some zine-makers’ perspectives on the ease/feasibility of zine making. Like, how much does it cost to write, design, print, and publish a zine issue?
