Surprised there was no mention of Danxi Xiaoge, who was my first introduction to the genre and who has just hit 10m subscribers on YouTube - I think there's a really interesting difference between the more dreamy ASMR types and the less glamorous but more rambunctious types, plus Penjie's highlighting of ethnic minority groups in Yunnan and their food. I'm definitely not surprised that Yunnan is getting so much attention from the genre in general.
