I always say Delia Smith taught me to cook as l learnt from her very first cookery series and bought the books. I was lucky enough to meet her at a book signing and she signed the first edition of her Christmas book and I have used it ever since!

I’ve just frozen her ham hash cakes … not sure on which page they are but she’s so right about serving them with pickled gerkins ! Always reliable recipes … unlike so many
